The course consists of four months of classroom lectures combined with practical exercises in the form of individual assignments and group challenges. You will attend lectures by the greatest experts in the field who will share their knowledge and experience covering all aspects of Space and Business, from Space Law and Policy to Lunar Exploration, Entrepreneurial Management, Sustainable innovation, Ethics and many more besides.

At the end of the course, our participants will have the possibility to visit and prototype inside the Airbus Labs in Munich. This will be a great opportunity to experience the way of working of one of today's largest space companies, and to get in touch with the other keen members of our great community.

Hady is a space engineer that took part in numerous space related projects collaborating also with German Space Agency (DLR), NASA, ESA – European Space Agency and Russian Academy of Cosmonautics. He has been selected as a suborbital scientist astronaut for a joint research program on the upper mesosphere. Hady has been honoured with several awards including being recognized as the best young researcher by the European Space Agency (ESA). Since 2015 he has been following the growth of the New Space Economy in Europe being directly involved with it. Currently he is in the Space Exploration Project group at SGAC in support of the United Nations, and Deputy Manager of the New Space Economy European ExpoForum, SpaceGen track. He works as a consultant for different companies, other than giving lectures and talks on important events and at schools.
Hady è un ingegnere spaziale che ha preso parte a numerosi progetti spaziali collaborando anche con l'Agenzia spaziale tedesca (DLR), la NASA, l'ESA - Agenzia spaziale europea e l'Accademia russa di Cosmonautica. È stato selezionato come astronauta scienziato suborbitale per un programma di ricerca congiunto sulla mesosfera superiore. Hady è stato onorato con diversi premi tra cui il riconoscimento come miglior giovane ricercatore da parte dell'Agenzia Spaziale Europea (ESA). Dal 2015 ha seguito la crescita della New Space Economy in Europa essendone direttamente coinvolto. Lavora come consulente per diverse aziende, oltre a tenere conferenze e discorsi in eventi importanti e nelle scuole.
A life dedicated to spaceflight- fascinated by the Moon landing in 1969, the then four-year-old Claudia decides that one day she too will fly into space! Claudia is an entrepreneur and visionary. She founded Astronautin GmbH in April 2017 to ensure the female future of (traditionally “manned”) astronautical space travel. Claudia Kessler has a clear goal: to get the first German woman into space by 2021. The new female astronaut will become an inspiration to encourage young women into technology professions. Being one of the few female executives in space, Claudia is constantly working to ensure more participation, because women attract women! She also promotes the international careers of female specialists and managers in the Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-E) network, which she founded across Europe in 2009. The network today has more than 500 members across 12 European countries. In addition, she is one of the few women to be a member of the Senate of the German Aerospace Society (DGLR) and the International Aeronautical Academy (IAA). As CEO of HE Space from 2004 to 2018 Claudia Kessler is a qualified aerospace engineer, is the holder of an MBA, and has more than 30 years of experience in the international space industry.

Jean-Dominique (JD) is a Strategy Manager for Airbus, developing the future of its space and defence division. In this role, he works with top-level executives on country development strategies, partnerships, business growth, and corporate governance. He started his 13-years career as a Systems Engineer in Human Spaceflight programmes, at Airbus, NASA and ESA. He has also worked as Innovation Project Manager, building a startup and working with emerging startups. A convinced “citizen of the world” having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and US, he is a passionate space aficionado, and enjoys music production and freeride snowboarding in his free time.

Barbara Imhof is a space architect, Co-founder, Managing Partner and co-owner of LIQUIFER System Group. She studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London, the Southern Californian Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Applied Arts. She has also worked as a space architect with NASA, handling interior design on the BIOPLEX (Bioregenerative Planetary Life Support Systems Test Complex) project. Imhof is also a member of the FFG advisory board and strongly advocates for more women in aerospace, at all levels.

Moriba Jah is an American space scientist and aerospace engineer known for his contributions to orbit determination and prediction especially as related to space situational awareness and space traffic monitoring. He is currently an associate professor of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Texas at Austin.

Luigi is a Partner in PwC Advisory France. He leads the global PwC Space Practice, and its core strategy and policy consulting team in Paris and Toulouse, dedicated to serving institutional and commercial stakeholders in the space sector, as well as non-space companies with specific commercial interest in space products and applications. He has over ~20 years of experience in the space sector along the wider value chain and 8+ years in consulting in the sector. Prior to PwC, Luigi has worked for: the university of Naples “Federico II” as a engineering teaching associate; the Italian Aerospace Research Centre in Capua, Italy, as a scientists and as a programme manager; for the European Space Agency European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany, as course developer and coordinator for the basic training in microgravity material science research; for Booz and Company as strategy consultant in the space systems practice in Amsterdam.

Thais Russomano is a Brazilian doctor and scientific researcher specialising in space medicine, space physiology, biomedical engineering, telemedicine and telehealth. She founded the Microgravity Centre (MicroG) at PUCRS university, Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1999, coordinating it for 18 years until 2017. The MicroG is the first educational and research centre in Space Life Sciences in Latin America. She is a senior lecturer at King's College London, lecturing in Aviation and Space related courses; coordinator of the Space Network (Rede Espaço), University of Lisbon; guest lecturer at Aalto University, Finland in Space and Design; guest lecturer at Pfarrkirchen Institute of Technology, European Campus, contributing to the MSc in Medical Informatics; consultant for the Skolkovo Foundation; member of the Mars One Advisory Board; International Relations Director for the UK-based HuSCO, Human Spaceflight Capitalization Office; and director of two private companies linked to space life sciences and telehealth – InnovaSpace Consultancy (UK) and International Space Medicine Consortium (USA).

Stephan is the Executive Director of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Space, a universal network of ecosystems for Astropreneurs. He is the co-founder of Angelus Funding, a trust-based global angel network investing in innovative and meaningful opportunities, and he is a World Business Angel Forum Senator and a member of the Global Business Angels Network. Stephan is a co-founding partner at Edge of Space, a company enabling STEM access to space. As the CEO of a non-profit Transform Poverty Global, he is focused on addressing global poverty along with climate change. Stephan serves on the board of directors of numerous impactful companies, including Spring Health India, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), and has personally made 39 investments since 2012. He is an adjunct professor at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, teaching graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurial presentation and sales skills.
